5 Ways to Display Your Matted Portraits | Tampa Newborn Photographer

After purchasing a collection of matted portraits, you may need a little inspiration on what to do with those portraits. I’ve compiled a list of 5 different ways you can hang your artwork. Of course you can always keep them in your collection box, but what better way to make your home feel cozier and give it character than to hang your artwork!

A Single Framed Matted Portrait

Make a statement. You can hang one frame portrait around a focal point in your home- like above your couch in the living room.

Wall Gallery

Create a wall gallery of images. I personally love transitional and modern styles, which often lean towards grid patterns, clean lines, and thin frames.

Mantle

Decorate your mantle by adding in a framed portrait to fit in with your current decor.

Bookcase

Style a bookcase with some of your family’s memories. And when you get tired of looking at them, swap them out with some others!

Entry Table or Buffet

Add a touch of your family’s legacy by styling an entry table or buffet with your framed matted prints. Mix and match the frames and orientations.

Hope these gave you some ideas on what to do with your matted portraits! And you can certainly keep them in your collection box and open from time to time to relieve those memories.
